Welcome to our Christmas Newsletter!
Membership is at an ALL-TIME HIGH, we’ve got registrations in EVERY COUNTRY WORLDWIDE and we’re still the ONLY friend-finder website to reunite people across a GLOBAL network. That’s right; potentially you could look for just about any ‘attendance’ anywhere in the world and find a match! And judging by your success stories, that’s exactly what you’ve been doing. Your Stories This page is dedicated entirely to you and your fabulous success stories, so keep ‘em coming! Every month we’ll reward the sender of the best story, our ‘star story’, with a magnum of Champagne or luxury food hamper, so get scribbling! Best bits of 2006 Long-lost cousins found! Two former school friends from the Philippines managed to track each other down after almost 45 years. One is still in the Philippines while the other, like many of their school friends, is now in the US, but through the site and through information shared with other friends through the site, they’ve realised they are actually related to each other and are in fact cousins! Ex-WRAC friends reunited after 40 years Two ladies, both in the WRAC in the early sixties, have recently found each other through the site, and have even met up to catch up on old times. Although sent to different postings, to different countries, they ended up living just fifty miles apart without realising it and are now back in regular contact thanks to WRM. Iranian School Friends Reconnected After 28 Years Apart Two former friends who went to school in Tehran, Iran, recently found each other in the UK. Only eight at the time, the girls moved with their families from the UK to Iran where their fathers accepted positions at the Iranian oil company OSCO. That was 28 years ago! Both have since returned to the UK and are now busy catching up on some very special memories of school life in Iran. Continuing the Rhenish Tradition Former schoolgirls from Cape Town in South Africa are now back in touch after several years apart. The ladies, from Rhenish Girls’ School in Stellenbosch, South Africa, recently held their 15 year school reunion after finding several classmates through Who-Remembers-Me.com. Auf Wiedersehen Pet – Army couples reunited after almost 30 years apart Originally stationed with the British army in Germany in the early seventies, the two couples became the best of friends but lost touch when they returned to the UK. Thirty years later and we were able to match their army attendances, the Mulheim barracks in Germany, and put them back in touch. ‘Aint no mountain high enough… Dear Santa, please put me in touch with… ‘Attendances’ are the names of any ‘search-engine’ institutions such as colleges, schools and clubs you may have attended, or streets you may have lived on. There are 18 different attendance categories to choose from so there really is no excuse! The more attendances you add, the easier it is for you to be found by old friends. Click here to add attendances. Remember, it’s free to add as many attendances as you like and whenever a new member adds an attendance that matches one of yours, we will instantly email you with a link to their profile. You can also get your friends and family involved, click here to use our ‘tell a friend’ link. More members really does mean better odds of finding the person you’re looking for. Here’s to 2007! Finally, the whole Who-Remembers-Me team would like to wish all our members around the world a very happy holiday season! Here’s to happy memories, remembering the good times and getting in touch with old friends – wherever they may be! Happy Christmas and all the best for 2007! www.Who-Remembers-Me.com P.S.
