Helping to put Scotus Academy back on the map!
We recently had a lovely email from Lindsay Wilson in Edinburgh, who for the past three years has undertaken the mammoth task of computerising his school’s register.

Scotus Academy, in Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh, first opened its doors in 1953 and over the 25 years to follow, welcomed approximately 1250 pupils.

Lindsay was at school from 1953 to 1964, helped with the rugby teams after that and in 1972 became the school auditor, so he has a long association with the school.

After computerising the records, he decided to try and contact as many former pupils or ‘old boys’ as possible to see if they wanted to contact each other.

This is where we were able to help! After registering his details Lindsay was pleased to find three former pupils that he had yet to contact listed on our database.

Lindsay’s efforts have been tremendous and since he began cataloguing everyone’s details, he has held a total of three Scotus Academy reunions. That’s quite some feat!

Apparently former pupils have come together from all over the world and Lindsay says it's wonderful to see them again and to find out how successful they have been.

Lindsay has kindly allowed us to ‘borrow’ a few of the 400 photos on the Scotus Academy website and has promised to keep us up to speed on his progress!
