School friends reunited across the globe
Rubina Ansari, originally from Indonesia, has recently reconnected with a dear friend from her school days. She's currently in India and her friend Pin is in Australia, but both had registered their details with WRM and now Rubina is back in touch with Pin and a number of other friends from her school days.
Rubina explains:
“Pin and I were classmates in fifth grade in a school at North Jakarta International School in Indonesia. She moved away when the year finished and I moved away six months later, losing touch with all my school mates.
My school days from Indonesia are my most cherished days and to get back in touch with the people related to my memories and experiences was very exciting.
Through your website, I contacted Pin, and though it took more than eight months, she did reply to me!
We exchanged email IDs and mailed each other almost every day for the next week or so. Thanks to her, I got my other classmates' contact IDs and have been able to catch up on how everybody is and what they're doing.
Fifth grade was a really long time ago, and that's what we all marvel at when we talk to each other. It certainly seems like an eon ago! To remember those days is like remembering a dream, that happened so long ago. Our lives are completely different now.
I would like to thank all of you at Who-Remembers-Me for providing us a platform to meet and for helping two long lost friends to get back in touch! Thank you!”
