Sylvia Meechan has recently connected with someone who used to live in the same village and go to the same primary school as her when she used to live in the UK.

The village in question is Allerton in Bradford, Yorkshire and the school, Allerton Primary School.

Both Sylvia and her friend have since moved to Australia, to different ends of the country but as Sylvia says, that’s right next door when you’ve got a computer!

“We have been corresponding ever since and sending photos… I had to dig deep into the old brain box to recall where some of the places were in the photos that he sent me. It has been wonderful and we always seem to have lots of things to talk about and things to share. It has been and still is, very exciting for me - who knows who I may eventually hear from. Thank you!”
