Same school connection marks the start of an important friendship
Hazel Bain from Trinidad has recently connected with Deborah, in France.
The two ladies used to go to the same school together in Trinidad, albeit in different years, but the school connection prompted their contact.
That was four months ago although Hazel says it feels like they’ve known each other forever.
As luck would have it Deborah visits Trinidad every three years and this was year number three for her, so she and Hazel met up.
Apparently they talked non-stop for the entire hour and a half of their lunch and met again several times during Deborah's two-month stay!
And their daughters are friends too.
Whenever Deborah comes to Trinidad she enrols her children into school so that they can experience the difference in cultures.
This year they enrolled at Woodbrook Government Secondary School, Hazel’s daughter’s school, and before long both girls became the best of friends.
So now Mums and daughters are in regular contact thanks to WRM! Long may it last!
