‘First friends’ back in touch after 50 years
Anji from Australia has recently reconnected with an old school friend from the UK.
Anji registered with WRM on impulse and listed a number of attendances including her very first primary school.
She found a few names she knew and sent a short message. Then, just before her 60th birthday, she had a reply from Anne, her very first school friend.
She and Anne used to go to school together in the UK and hadn’t seen each other since they were nine years old some fifty years ago when Anji left the UK.
Anne now lives in Scotland and has just completed her Masters in Education and Anji, living in Australia, has just retired from teaching in TAFE, both with children and grandchildren of their own.
How time flies!
