Fran Hadwin wrote to say that within 30 mins of adding her school in her list of attendances, she was contacted by Phil Hart, a former school friend. Fran explains:

“I had dated Phil’s brother Eric for a while and when Eric finished things, Phil was very kind to me. Phil told me Eric had died a couple of years ago in New Zealand. As for Phil, he was an engineer, trouble shooting for the gas and oil rigs, and his home was in
Malaysia. He had married a lady born with in hours on the same day as him.

We swapped photos and both got a shock at how we had changed! We kept in contact for about 3-4 months, then he wrote saying he had had a mini stroke; I replied but never heard back. I wrote again asking if whoever read it would let me know what had happened to Phil and I got a reply saying he had had a massive heart attack and had died.

I feel very privileged to have had the chance of having the contact with Phil yet sad it was so short a time.
