Gulf Air manager back home and back in touch with old school friends!
Seif Altawdi from Cairo in Egypt wrote to say he’s managed to get in touch and meet up with a number of old school friends thanks to WRM. Seif has spent much of his life living outside of Egypt, working as an airport manager for Gulf Air. His career has taken him all over the world to countries such as Qatar, Bahrain, Thailand, India and Switzerland. He’s also worked in the UK at Heathrow Airport and used to live in Osterley, near Osterley Park. Seif used to return to Egypt as and when his work would permit it, and in 2004 he returned for good. It was around this time that he decided to look for former school friends and shortly after joining WRM, found old school friend Mahmoud Alshafie. He and Mahmoud used to go to Al Orman High School. He also learned that a number of his school mates regularly meet on the first Saturday of every month at his local Gizeara Sports Club in Zamalek, Cairo and now he meets with them every month too. Apparently the first time they got together was particularly special as he hadn’t seen some of his old school friends in almost 50 years, since 1959! Incredible!
